I like this monitor very much. The features are great and the ability to download your data to your computer really shows you your progress. The one issue I do have is the enter button somtimes won’t work when pushed. I probably should have sent it back but chose to use it as is.
HE WHO DIES WITH

this is not my first time using one of these for my GPS, about 4 years ago I got one for an older Garmin C330, it worked OK but it was not very stable especially on the dashboard. This one is much better and it seems to stick better on the dashboards in both our vehicles. Our car was broken into and the radio was stolen so we are trying to minimize any displays that encourage thieves to hit us again. This was a good solution since we can stow away after usage. good product.

The games on the Wii are so much fun that you don’t realize your muscles are working hard (until the next day!) I have had so many friends comment great reviews on the Wii. Would definately recommend!!! Definately try the Wii fit plus game.

I am a gadget lover! I love technology and perhaps have way too many gadgets. But, I love all of them. The “touch” is no different. I have an ipod classic and have bought two of my grandchildren ipod nanos. But I must admit, the “touch” far surpasses anything I have ever owned. My quest began with the ipad, but was disappointed because of the size. Also, when I compared the ipad and “touch”, the biggest difference, for me, was the ipad has the ability to do word documens and the “touch” does not. Since I have laptops at home and work, I did not see a need for another one. Besides, I can carry my laptop with me (which I do when traveling)

So, the only problem with the touch is all of the screens are not resizable – which would be a reason to get the ipad, I suppose. All said and done, I love the “touch”, saved myself $200+ over the ipad, got a good price, and the clear protector I bought along with the “touch” is awesome. I did not believe the air bubbles would go away but they did and it looks FANTASTIC!

Do not hesitate to purchase one because I plan to replace my daughter’s nano with a touch when the smaller size truly is a 3rd generation!

I brought these cables from Amazon (2/3 weeks later?)after reading the customer reviews about them; they are flexible (Sony’s are stiff) and they do the job for me.

Water for Elephants is an interesting text because it is not especially well written, the story is pure soap opera, and yet it is an enjoyable read that at times evokes a long gone era. I think it suffers from overly effusive praise and so many readers are bitterly disappointed once they get through it.
First, let’s look at the strengths of the novel. I enjoyed the evocations of circus and train life. Gruen clearly spent some time working on these descriptions of circus life and there are little Depression era details that were nice historical jewels for the reader to mine. Also effective was her characterization of old Jacob. His voice was witty and biting and he provided the most pleasure of any character in the text. Chapter nineteen of the novel is the saddest depiction of rest home life I have read in literature. A man is forgotten by his family, and the scene is heartbreaking.
Now to examine the reasons why this book is unsatisfying. First off the characters from the 1930s parts of the novel are some of the weakest characterizations I have seen in a book in a long time. They are stock characters at best, and the villains are the mustache twirling men from melodrama. It is hard to care about any of the characters because they are so transparently fake. Even more distracting then the weak characterization is the incredibly insipid (and modern sounding) dialogue Gruen puts in their mouths. She has such nice historical details in the setting of the text, why couldn’t she also use it in the dialogue?
Many readers have found the ending unsatisfying, and although it is ridiculous, it fits the novel so I won’t argue with it. The cloying depiction of animals is also a little beyond the pale, but again, I simply had to come to terms with the novel for what it is. It is popular fiction. It is a melodrama you will get caught up in. And for those purposes it is adequate. Don’t go into it expecting more than what it is capable of giving and you will be satisfied.

Is there anything left to be said about The Catcher in the Rye? All I want to add is that this edition comes in a neat little package; The font is old-school, stands out from the modern editions and is pleasant to read, while the dust jacket is matte, and has a nice feeling of velvet to it.
