I really didn’t expect alot from this machine, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The major test was actually removing all the little short hairs my very big dog leaves embedded in the rugs. Dark rugs and blond dogs are not a good mix. It does need the bags changed frequently..The bags are a little small, but it also picks up stuff better than the bagless machine I have. I recommended ordering the extra bags at the same time. I like this vacuum..I hope it lasts a while.

My 14-year-old daughter is a proclaimed book-hater. However, after being convinced to listen to Artemis Fowl on tape, she is hooked and has even asked us to buy her a copy! If this book can turn on an avowed book-hater, you know it’s good!

You get alot of vacuum for the price you pay. The suction is very strong but be it would be nice if it did a better job along the edges.

Talk about the Cinderella of American Cinema, Doug Liman and the crew from Swingers showed that a great movie will sell itself and that you don’t need a big budget to make it big. Everything pretty much had it against this film: it had practically no budget, no really big stars, barely any promotion. But what it did have was a great dialogue, a true-to-life plot, and a jackpot of a cast of talented then-unknowns, all backed by the genius that is Doug Liman. This is by far one of the best independent films in the past few years, if not one of the best films of all time. Rarely ever does a movie get better and better each time you watch it, and Swingers definitely fills that role. If you have not seen this movie yet, you are definitely missing out.

Also, Liman’s new movie Go is also a classic and a definite must-see.

Works great. Much better that the window suction cup device that came with my first Garmin. This was purchased for use with a new Garmin that I bought at the same time. My only complaint is the cost. The Garmin was $119 and this device was 18% of the cost of the unit. They should just add $10 to each Garmin and include this in the box instead of the window suction cup.

We started out looking for an Oreck, but the more research, the more positives for the Tempo Widepath came to the fore.

We ordered it from Amazon on a Tuesday, and it arrived at the post office on Friday, and Amazon even alerted us via email that it was ready for pickup.

On the first try. we knew it was doing the job head and shoulders above our old heavy DirtDevil. Almost ashamed to relate this, but from just one good going over the carpet in 17′x28′ living room alone, we got two full heavy bags of sand, at least 10 pounds of it. It is the Arizona desert, and with two active in and out dogs, the sand must have accumulated while the old vac just picked up whatever was on the surface of the carpet.

Broke the belt, but was a snap to replace and they are cheap, reset the brush level to a higher setting and all is now OK. Would definitely recommend to friend and family, and have already done so. If it lasts the one year warranty, we will think we are ahead of the game and just order another one to replace it.

Foxy Shazam Space Jam

The pro and con of this machine is the same for me: it’s strong enough to return even the densest rug to upright; however, it is also strong enough to grab upholstery and literally burn a hole in it. I love the value, but it’s definitely rudimentary – no bells and whistles. Also, mine just died after 2 years of use. the motor burned up. (I’ve avoided anything that could get snagged ever since that couch mishap so I don’t know why it burned up.) I will probably buy another one since it really does work great for a great price.
Irish Classic Gift Basket

I loved this book from beginning to end. Along with some entertaining history, this is a beautifully woven tale. To my mind, a good novel has unexpected twists and surprises .. and this book carried one beautiful surprise all the way through.
This book stirred in me an affection for elephants that I hadn’t felt since childhood. Along with The Magician’s Elephant by Kate DiCamillo, Water for Elephants helped to inspire the painting “The Gentle Somnambulist” which is included in my book TREASURE Twenty One Paintings and a Key.
