Wanna Dual VocoPro VHF 3005

I bought the Kindle knowing that it had 2 significant limitations. First, the Kindle performs as advertised. It is easy to use – to download materials, to read from, turn pages etc. I am pleased with its performance. I bought the Kindle because I travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, and I did not want to tote numerous books. In this capacity, the Kindle performs excellantly.

As to the limitations: First, while at initial glance, Kindle’s inventory of books and materials seems extensive, it is limited in a number of ways. First, it concentrates on current releases and does not contain a significant amount of historical works. Second, there are a limited number of foreign language dictionaries available. One reason I bought the Kindle was so that I did not have to tote a 3 inch thick foreign language dictionary while traveling.

The second significant limitation is that Kindle uses a propriety software code for its downloads. This means that the Kindle can only download from Amazon. This is OK for now since Amazon has the largest selection of materials and the best prices. However, I will likely migrate to another electronic reader when they are introduced later this year with open format software that allows downloads from any source (other than Amazon)such as Google books and libraries. The price on these e-readers will fall and the book selection will be wider and just as affordable. Kindle has me for now, but I will likely migrate elsewhere unless Amazon allows for an open format.
