Never thought a portable mount would be as sturdy as the suction mount until I used one supplied by a rental car company. I ordered one the minute I got back home! I love it!

Although they haven’t changed the model number it appears the device currently shipping no longer has a reset button on the front. That button would reset the device to zero for today, like if you wanted to measure a particular hike.

If you look at the product picture that Amazon has, that is a correct representation. However, if you look at the user pictures, or google for a manual you see that previously the product had four buttons on the front, one of which was that reset button.

I’m guessing some people were pressing that button by mistake and losing part of their day’s activities so Omron decided to remove it. That’s fine, except now if you want to reset the display to zero you have to stick a pin in the reset hole on the back, and then enter all your data again…time, stride length, weight.

Does this matter. To me it’s a pain in the neck, but to most of the people who use the device it may be just fine since what they really want is to measure their total activity for each day, not a particular walk.

(Of course for a single walk, you just look at the display before you leave and subtract that reading when you are done.)

Seems like Omron could have designed a different reset button that was harder to press by accident instead of eliminating it entirely.

Whatever, it’s not a huge deal, I just thought people should be aware of this.

Aside from that the device seems fine, and that is covered by lots of other reviews, so I won’t repeat them. I just gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of my own needs. I also think they should have changed the model number when they removed that button.

Purchased through Amazon after a lot of research and debating whether to toss my current Garmin 765t to replace it with the Motonav765t. The Motonav is a great looking device out of the box, easy to use menus and setup. It is responsive to every touch I made, which the Garmin lacks. I was first extremely satisfied with the switch until I had routing problems. When I would start the GPS and after receiving a strong satellite signal it would place my position completely after track of my current route.(e.g grass, another roads). Another problem I had was the demo in the help menu would start playing randomly while on route and I had to restart the whole device while driving and configure it again. The ETA was off by a hour, showed traffic that was non-existent. I decide to return my device for a full refund and still with my garmin or find a better model.

I read all the reviews thoroughly before I bought this vacuum. I was aware of the leaking problem mentioned by many people. I read the directions thoroughly, I assembled it correctly, and on first pass, it worked great. On second pass it sucked up the dirt well, but leaked all the water all over the rug when making my second pass.

I rechecked all attachments, rehooked, reclasped every lid and tried again…it worked for awhile, but again, when I went to change the water, the second time it leaked…it leaked while I tried to figure out why it was leaking, and it is still leaking…it may be the man, not the machine, but the frustration factor coupled with the tempermental leaky machine is not worth the time, money or frustration.

Great value. I used them a few times and they did the trick. They are very hard plastic, so they don’t mark up panels. They easily remove the interior trunk panels in my ‘04 BMW M3.

I had planned on getting a different steam cleaner but after reviewing both that one and this one, I decided on the SteamVac. After using it, now I’m a believer. It picked up an astonishing amount of dirt. It was fairly easy to use once I got the hang of it. Had no problems with leaks or anything like that. Scared the bejesus out of me everytime the dirty water vessel became full; the manual says the motor sound gets higher…uh no kidding significantly higher, louder, but it’s just noise. Fairly intuitave, I like that you can turn the motor on with your foot and relatively easy to move around. Takes almost no time to assemble, needing only a Phillips head screwdriver. Comes with a small bottle of cleaner, worth about 3 tanks.

I’ve used a number of different shampooers (I worked as a custodian for a time.) and as a non-commercial shampooer/steam cleaner this is excellent. I’ve found that Hoover make really fine quality rug cleaners that provide more bang for their buck than some other brands. Recommended.
