Nuvi Accessory 1200 Garmin no mad

I bought this initially for my gf but I’m the one who’s actually enjoying it since she is taking a sabbatical on running due to an injury. So I love it because I am able to upload the stats online and see how my performance went and how I improved.

I would recommend it highly to those who want the stats. It is very user-friendly. I didn’t even read the manual to set it up.

Before I bought this item, I bought the Polar RS300X G1 and it was too much of a hassle to go through the manual. I bought all the accessories so my gf can use it and she gave up on it. So I bought her this. The Polar is still in the box unused.

The only thing I noticed is that the battery does not last that long. I used it once after a 30 min. run and my gf used it the next day and it said low batt. So I guess I have to charge it when I plug it in the USB.

Say hi to Accessory Garmin 285W Nuvi

With some sellers offering the 305 with heart rate monitor for $150, it is really hard to beat this device. Using just the GPS and hrm (no foot pod or cadence/speed sensor) this device works well for both running and cycling outdoors.

I’m not a hardcore athlete, but I do enjoy hiking, trail running, and cycling, and the accuracy of this device more than meets my needs for tracking my pace and performance. The elevation data is pretty off, but garmin-connect does a reasonable job of correcting it after the fact.

Learning to use the features of the 305 takes a little practice. Not something I mind, but some might. The bike mount/wrist strap kit works well for juggling it between arm and bike.

I’ve looked at some of the newer devices in this nitch, and I don’t see how any of them justify their very large price gap over the forerunner 305. In fact, you will pay significantly more for some of the newer devices that do less than the 305.

I looked at the FR 310XT, and it just doesn’t do it for me, and especially not at $380 with hrm. I’m not a triathlete, and I don’t care much about waterproof. I would much rather have something like a multisport/watch version of the Edge 500, which tracks temperature and altitude, and would be much more useful for my trail running, hiking, and cycling. If Garmin ever figures this out, I would likely upgrade.

Accessory 465T Nuvi Garmin answer

This is a great buy overall; from my perspective. I have few criticisms with the Garmin, though, is the software they provide to analyze your workout data. The software has very limited capability and frequently makes errors in associating the type of workout. At least once a week it combines a bike workout with a run workout, even though the two workouts were on separate days and I was very careful to reset the watch. Combining the two makes it a varied workout and puts all the data into a separate category. One suggestion to Garmin is to make a version that can be worn in the water. Since I dabble in like to exercise I’d love to gather readings in the water, too. I’m very, very pleased with the Garmin 305. So much so, that after 3 months of use, I bought one for my wife. The biggest selling points for me are the relatively small size, and the great reception.

The Omron Digital Pocket Pedometer (model HJ-112) measures the number of steps you take while wearing it, the number of aerobic steps you take, the number of minutes you do the aerobic steps, how many calories you’ve burned, and the distance you’ve walked while wearing it. It stores this information for seven days and if you wish you can look back at what you’ve done in previous days. The pedometer comes with a holder and clip to use on pants, belt, etc. – it can be used with or without the holder. It also comes with a strap that has a clip if you want to wear it that way.

I really like the Omron Digital Pocket Pedometer. It comes with everything you need to set it up (including a “screwdriver” and battery) and is extremely easy to set up. You have to measure your stride length, set the time, and your weight but this is all easy to do. The pedometer is a bit large, but very sturdy, and the display is very easy to read with large numbers. Because it is so sturdy it counts your steps very accurately – other pedometers I’ve had jingled about quite a bit and would measure “steps” at the slightest motion (even while sitting down) – not so with this pedometer. Another thing I love about it is its versatility – besides clipping it to your pants or belt you can place it in the upper front pocket of your shirt, the front pocket of your pants, or even attach it to a bag you are carrying. I’ve compared the pedometer’s accuracy to other programs such as Wii’s Walk It Out and it is very accurate. Finally, I love the fact that the pedometer not only counts normal footsteps and mileage but the aerobic footsteps and time – it is a major incentive to make sure I get my daily aerobic exercise done.

I highly recommend the Omron Digital Pocket Pedometer.

Great product – does just what it says, and eliminates the frustration in cold weather climates of the suction-based mount falling off the windshield. Very nice. Now if I could just come up with a snowmobile mount…

About Deluxe ROTH DB Accessory

The Omron HJ-112 Pedometer is the only pedometer I will wear when walking. I found it to be pretty accurate counting the steps taken. It keeps time, regular steps and aerobic steps.
