I have had my EatSmart Precision Digital for a month, and not only is it the first scale I have ever liked — it’s the ONLY scale I have ever loved!

First and foremost, it is accurate. No more crazy flucuations from one minute to the next.

Secondly, it is precise — weighing in increments of 1/10th of a pound. This really helps fight frustration if you are trying to lose weight.

Thirdly, the backlit display is very easy to read. You don’t even have to turn on an overhead light to clearly see the numbers.

Last but not least, it’s beautiful.

This book has a very misleading Title. The God this man is talking about is a myth, and not the God of Bible. He presents a God that allows anything as long as it does not hurt another person. The author speaks of a God that does not acknowledge sin and that there is no need for forgiveness. He speaks of all of us being o.k. and not to judge on another. The God of the Bible sets a very high standard for us and sin is NOT o.k. We have all sinned and fall short of Gods glory and will never be perfect on this earth. But we are to acknowledge that fact and realize Christ , God’s Son, was perfect and died in our place, so that God looks upon each of us that believes this, and see’s us perfect when we do ask forgiveness. Because of The God of the Bibles great love and Grace for us, we ask the Holy Spirit to help us each day to convict us of our sin. God’s mercies are new every morning. Please, Read the Bible, not this book. God speaks truth from the Bible only.

I received this K2US less than 30 days before the Kindle 3rd generation was announced and I could have returned it, but I turned it on and compared it to my K2i and the print-and-pictures were even sharper! Since I think the Kindle 2 is so close to perfect, I kept it and will be giving it to my brother-in-law, a rabid reader!

For individuals who are used to older Windows versions, Windows 7 takes some time to get used to. Many of the previous drop-down menus are now grouped in different places, and are initially difficult to locate. I had a lot of trouble until I learned to use the “help” option whenever I can’t find something. (Click on the Question Mark icon wherever you see it.) After a few times, you’ll start to remember how to perform the same command when you need it.

I tried desperately not to go to the dark side. I was a big fan of Open Office…until I used it more and more. MS Office is faster and easier to use. It also has features amenable to tablet PC use that are seamless. I often sign by hand (on my tablet) and fax documents I create. Previously, I had to print to windows journal, sign, and then print to pdf. With the inking features built into Word, I can sign to my document “directly”, save it as a pdf and then fax it with fewer steps, all without using any paper. MS office just works more intuitively than Open Office, for instance it is much simpler to set up a background for a slide show presentation in Power Point than in Open Office Impress.

This book is exquisitely and sensitively written. As a native New Yorker who has spent the last twenty years living in MS and LA, I cannot imagine a more insightful depiction of race relations and society in the deep South.

The Forerunner 305 has lived up to expectations, based on my first few weeks of experience. I use it for jogging/walking and it appears consistent and accurate based on about 10 outings of 6 mile length.

Positives: Light weight, easy to read, much flexibility on output displays, docks and synchronizes seemlessly with the Garmin Training Center software, works as advertised. I particularly like to display current pace as well as average pace.

Negatives (but none are serious): Takes 30 to 45 seconds to find satellites. I have a short attention span and tend to get impatient waiting for it to lock onto the satellites.

Tip: I occasionally record a false start by accident, then stop the run after say 5 or 10 seconds. Unfortunately, this “run” is recorded on the GPS. After uploading the data to the Garmin Training Center, I deleted the bogus run from the uploaded records. But every time I dock/sync, the short run was restored to the training record. The solution is to upload data, delete the unwanted record, clear the GPS memory, then send the remaining good records from the Training Center back to the GPS device. Said another way, I couldn’t find a way to delete a record directly from the GPS, but the workaround accomplishes the same thing.

I searched far and wide for a digital bathroom scale that met our needs and didn’t break the bank. This scale represents the best value in terms of price, features, quality and warranty (2 years vs. usual 1 year)–Highly recommended!
