However, I have to uninstall the Pro before I could install this one. It is just stupid! Someone told me one can just enter the new product key and it would activate the ones that installed/came with my new laptop. I think I will download the free upgrade of MS Office 2010.
Kenda Kaliente Road Racing

Shipping was excellent and GMC Road Bike arrived in perfect condition. We will definitely order from Amazon again. It is almost impossible to find anyone to ship here without major costs and problems. We encountered none of this and are very happy with the whole experience.

Denali Bike beautiful. This bike is amazing. Every day people are stopping to look at this bike. People wana know where I got it and how much I paid, they assume it cost alot. this bike rides smooth. I love it and will maybe buy a few more for family members.

Not ment for hard rides. This bike is nice to look at but that is about all. I went on what was going to be a 40 mile drive and ended up only going about 18 since the bike broke. I can get the part for free from Kent (when I get all the hoops jumped through) but there is a special tool needed to replace the part. The bike shop wants more that the bike cost to do the repair… So there it sits in my garage awaiting a miricle from the cycling gods.

Cyclists BEWARE.. I received my gmc denal road bike about a week and a half ago, the first day I received this bike the stock tubes blew out after about 20 minutes into riding, then the following day the kick stand on the bike snapped off

when GMC Denali Road Bike was adjusted back up (not exagerating), and on top of these things the chain constantly slips and the brakes are horrible even when adjusted. And when riding one day the allen nut that hold the handle bars and the fork together loosened completely and almosty made me wreck.

I guess the saying is true “you get what you pay for”…I highly DO NOT recommend this bike to anyone, not even a begginer it is dangerous and a number of things go wrong with these bikes. So in conclusion I had to send this bike back after not even 2 weeks of riding it!? unbelievable.

Down with wal-mart bikes!

a fair bike to start. It is a fair bike for its price.

It is cheap made, so do not expect the best quality. But it is great for those who do not want to take biking very seriously.

I had some problems with the speed changing mechanism, some of the speed ratios did not lock in place and made sounds.

Descent beginner road bike. I’ve always had mountain bikes, and wanted to dable in road bikes, but didn’t want to spend a bunch of money only to find out that I should stick with my mountain bike.

The package arrived fairly quickly from Amazon, but the box was heavily damaged. Luckily, the bike only had a few scratches on the frame. Setup took me about an hour (not rushing it). The look and feel of the frame are great, but the rest of the components are and look cheap.

The brakes, even with a good adjustment are pretty bad. Tires are easily punctured, and the derailleurs are horrible and will require professional adjustmnet by a bike shop. All in all, for the money I can’t complain.

I have upgraded the tires to Michelins Dynamic ($20 a piece), and also upgraded the brake calipers to Shimano’s SC ($40 for front and rear with pads). I had the derailleurs professionally adjusted ($10), and now the bike is much better and rides 10x better.

I plan to upgraded the pedals and brake levers in the future. For a beginner, I would recommended it, but you will quickly find that it needs some fine tuning to make a descent bike.

The good

- Looks good

- Nice frame

- Not too heavy

- Good build quality on the frame

- Cheapest road bike you can buy

The Bad

- Horrible cheap brakes

- Crappy derailleurs that require fine tuning by the pros

- mediocre Kenda tires (puncture easily)

- non-adjustable seat angle

I use it to commute half the distance to work everyday, and I’ve put over 200 miles on it so far. I’ve spent $90 dollars after the fact trying to improve it. Still a great deal, even with the money I’ve spent on it.

A great Start. After a stressful day of going around with an Avid cyclist, trying to find a good road bike to fit my budget, we gave up on going to all the local cycle stores and took our hunt online. We came across this bike and my friend was hesitant with giving Schwinn Prelude Mens Road Bike the o.k, however it turned out to be a good call. I’m around 5′10 200 lbs, and the bike fits me great, though as previously stated the handle bars are a bit iffy, but you get used to it pretty quick. After riding about a year I’m now ready to upgrade, but it’s definitely a great bike for any starter. I’ve put at least 500 miles on it and I stress at least, and its held up great.

Save some grief — replace the rubber before riding. It’s a great bike for the price, but I would highly recommend going to a bike shop and getting the rim strips and tubes replaced. These two components are of poor quality from my experience:

1. As soon as I inflated the tires to the proper pressure, one of the tubes popped before I even started riding.

2. After a hundred miles of riding or so, the rim strip failed, which caused the tube to have pressure points all over the inner part of the wheel. This is NOT good because these tires are inflated to 100psi. While I was fortunate enough to not have this issue on the road, I did get a rude awakening at around 4 AM one morning as I heard a sudden explosion of air. Diagnosing this issue caused a lot of grief as well because I would put in a new tube, and it would pop the moment I go to remount the tire.

These two repairs/upgrades should cost you approximately ten dollars if you can do it yourself.

Great Beginner Bike. Great Bike for beginner, best value on the market and light weight. strongest recommend to all bike beginner.
