“Suppose you could ask God the most puzzling questions about existence – questions about love and faith, life and death, good and evil. Suppose God provided clear understandable answers…” So begins this foray into theological inanity. The bottom line is simply this: God HAS provided clear, understandable answers to the “most puzzling questions about existence,” but you will not find them here. You will, however, find them in the Bible, the Word of God, and in the teaching of the Church. What you will find in this book are outright falsehoods, half-truths and humanistic wisdom masquerading as spiritual wisdom. The devil will love this book for the confusion it will cause in the unevangelized and uncatechized. For example, let’s take this gem of a lie: A girl poses the question “I am living with my boyfriend. My parents say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry him?”
His (”God’s”) reply is, “Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong…” Here you have a clear, understandable contradiction of God’s own word: “Flee fornication. Every sin that a man commits is outside the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.” (1 Corinthians 6:18) The Bible calls “living with my boyfriend” fornication, i.e., premarital sex and it is one of the sins that can bar a person from the Kingdom of Heaven. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, the Bible says, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,” {10}”nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” Jesus also warned: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ’, and will deceive many.” (Matthew 24:4-5) He also said,
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 10:9) or he

The character development and style of this book had me from the first chapter! I would love to spend time with Abilene, her many friends, and Skeeter (but not her friends), individually or together! Whether you grew up as the help, the helped or neither, this book should resonate with you. If you’ve ever given any thought to the relationships among people — especially those whose lives and emotions are intertwined (whether or not the depth and complexity of those relationships are consciously acknowledged), but who are not familial and are of societally-distinct “classes” — you should be touched by this book. I haven’t felt this way about a book in a long time, and cried when it was over — and it was over way too soon! I will eagerly await another novel by Kathryn Stockett!

I purchased this product after taking a few classes in Word and Excel,and am SO impressed at the changes between 03 and 07!! MUCH easier to navigate.

Critical review:

I’ve went over the book; yes Meyers does a great job in being descriptive and adding so many details.

But I feel that this book is too superficial, there is ABSOLUTELY NO RESOLVE, there’s nothing that seems to repair the relationship of Bella and her parents; it shows that it’s okay to treat your parents like crap.

And the fact that the book doesn’t have any time where Bella is empowered by her own self confidence, the belief of herself; she relies on Jacob or Edward for that sense of “protection”.

There are so many books that need to be read, I just don’t think I’d recommend this to any kids I know.

The majority that liked this book were giddy high school girls whose fantasies are coming into fruition with this novel. Twilight is a high school girl’s dream come true.

But the truth is; I wouldn’t allow a person like Edward near my children in the sense that they wouldn’t know how to appropriate their actions around people….it’s very creepy.
